Dean & DeLuca to Open In
Times Building

MIDTOWN WEST—The
new New York Times building may singlehandedly make the area around the
Port Authority worth braving. We've
long
obsessed
over the Muji that's slated to open in the building within the
next few months, but now we have news of another great retailer that's
coming to 620 Eighth Avenue. Fancy
grocer
Dean & DeLuca has signed a lease for a 3,200-square-foot space at
the NYT building, and is planning on opening their seventh NY outpost
there in mid-2008. This is obviously great news for
neighborhood types and those who work in the building, who we're sure
can't wait for a lunch spot that doesn't require a walk down the
neighborhood's hellishly crowded sidewalks. An added bonus: the building
will also house
Japanese restaurant Inakaya. |
