Eneslow Opens on Second Avenue

Broker Candice Dobbs, president of Dobbs Associates, found the perfect fit for a retail space at 1504 Second Avenue.

Dobbs installed New York footwear stalwart Eneslow in the 2,000 s/f space in the building owned by William Friedland. Asking rents were $120 psf.

"Eneslow seemed like a perfect fit for the space and this neighborhood. They have been wanting a store on the Upper East Side for a very long time, and I’m delighted I was able to help them achieve this in time for their 100th anniversary," said Dobbs, who repped both sides in the 15-year deal.

In what will be the retailer’s third store — and it’s second Manhattan location — Eneslow will take over a space previously occupied by Foot Solutions.

Robert Schwarts, owner of the store which specializes in fashionable but comfortable and orthopedic footwear, commented, "[The new spot] is near a number of hospitals and health care professional offices that send us a lot of clients."

The retailer already has offices and a store on Park Avenue, as well as a location in Queens.

Since an extensive build-out is not needed, Schwartz plans to open for business on April 22.
