Dobbs Associates, Inc. is a boutique-style Manhattan based Real Estate Company with an expertise exclusively in retail leasing in New York's Metropolitan Area.  Established
in 1988, Dobbs Associates has become one of the most recognized names in retail brokerage in Manhattan.

In 1981, with a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Studies and Fine Arts from New York University, and an internship at the Department of City Planning, Ms. Dobbs went to work for Douglas Elliman Knight Frank.  At Douglas Elliman, Ms. Dobbs was assigned to be the New York leasing representative for the Dallas Galleria, a new Gerald D. Hines project.  She was instrumental in securing Manhattan based tenants for the Dallas Galleria, including retailers FAO Schwarz and Ann Taylor.

In 1983, Ms. Dobbs joined the New York Land Company to be a leasing agent for Herald Center, Manhattan's first multi-level vertical mall at Herald Square.  At the project's opening, Ms. Dobbs was responsible for 67 of the signed leases at Herald Center.  In 1985, Ms. Dobbs was hired by Richard and Fred Wilpon of Sterling Equities to take on the challenge of creating a merchandising plan for the shops at 575 Fifth Avenue, Manhattan's second vertical retail mall.  Soon realizing that Manhattan was not a mall city, Ms. Dobbs decided to try her hand at retail brokerage in Manhattan's many exciting neighborhoods. From that moment on, there was no turning back. In 1988, Candice Dobbs formed Dobbs Associates, Inc., blending her own unique style and talent as a Manhattan retail expert.

Dobbs Associates has developed a stellar reputation in Manhattan's tough and competitive retail leasing market. Ms. Dobbs has represented a broad range of local, national and foreign retailers in covering every square inch of the city's many diverse neighborhoods, including Midtown, Wall Street, Soho, Upper East and Upper West Sides, Flatiron District, Harlem and the Outer Boroughs of Queens and the Bronx. She has represented prominent retailers and restaurants as varied as Chanel, LVMH, BCBG Max Azria, Dean & Deluca, Nine West, Foot Locker, McDonald's and Starbucks. Some of her other clients have included well known landlords Rudin Management, Forest City Ratner, Rose Associates, Feil Organization, Friedland Properties, Rockrose Development, Glenwood Management, Milstein Properties and Silverstein Properties. Ms. Dobbs also served as a special real estate advisor to Senator Charles Schumer's 'Group of 35' report that was published in June 2001, which later served as a model for downtown commercial redevelopment after the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

Dobbs Associates continues to be a dynamic force in helping shape the retail landscape of New York City. Candice is an extremely creative and innovative retail broker who sincerely cares about her clients, making sure that they will achieve maximum success in every retail environment.

Dobbs Associates, Inc. is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Real Estate Board of New York.
